The Composition Layer

This layer provides composition-specific software, clustered in ‘Orchestrated’ and ‘Composed’ elements. In several architecture models the ‘Orchestrated’ part is called Business Process Management (BPM) and is found sitting in a separate layer. Business processes are actually a type of composition of available services thus it is included in this layer. This layer can also be qualified as a cross-domain layer, hence the position of the Business Rules element in this layer.
